Profiles and shelves are free. Borrow requests require an active paid membership and a refundable R500 Library Protection Deposit so lenders know every request comes from an accountable reader.
A paid subscription unlocks borrow requests. The once-off R500 Library Protection Deposit is also required before borrowing and may be used after admin dispute review if a book is lost, stolen, or not returned.
